Jason Totedo
Board MemberWith over 25 years of experience in the industry, an entire career has been dedicated to investment management and research. As the founder of Long Term Capital Management, the highest standards of unbiased decision-making and client-focused strategy have been upheld. Fiduciary responsibilities have been carried out on behalf of clients for 18 years since the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation was earned in 2001.
The financial industry was entered after a bachelor’s degree in economics was earned from the University of Delaware in 1993. Shortly after graduation, a position as an unpaid intern in the investment management field was secured. This opportunity led to a first position at the Philadelphia Stock Exchange, the oldest stock exchange in America. After relocating to New York, the next six years were spent on Wall Street, where various fixed-income and derivatives trading roles were held.
Following the receipt of the CFA® designation, a move to the West Coast was made to join Wilshire Associates, a large pension consulting firm in California. During the following 10 years, portfolio construction was emphasized, with a primary focus on risk management and asset allocation. Over time, the position of Managing Director was attained, and partnership in the firm was subsequently achieved. Later, a move to the Pacific Northwest was made to be closer to family, and extensive experience gained at leading firms in Philadelphia, New York City, and Los Angeles was brought to clients in the region.
Since 2001, services have been provided entirely on behalf of clients rather than through commission-based compensation. It is believed that the most effective path forward is achieved through the delivery of comprehensive solutions that encompass each client’s complete financial picture. This approach is supported by decades of industry experience, as well as by strategic, long-standing partnerships with tax and estate planning professionals.
